Student Pilot Days...I started flying in the spring of 1994. At
first I was getting into the air at least twice a week. The weather would not cooperate with my available time. My work would not let me get the time when those perfect flying days came by. My own doubts began to surface, then the inevitable plane crashes combined with my wife's fear of how dangerous this endever could be caused a lot of discussion.
My instructor went to greener pastures, lured by the smell of jet fuel; she is now flying a 737 jet. As it stands now, I haven't flown at all in four years. Oh, I still long for the sky, maybe one of these days I'll just get my act together and give it another go. I can't thank my first flight instructor enough, she helped me achieve solo flight. Something you can't even begin to explain to someone who hasn't experienced it or even wants to try. |
